“So, is the food OK?” I ask Scooter Man while visiting him during his first week-long Boy Scout camp (his first ever more-than-one-night away from us experience). “Yeah, we eat at the dining hall. … It’s like a restaurant!” I’m glad to have him and the rest of the family back home after a hectic three weeks of us all scattered hither and yon. My gratitude list for the last two weeks:
- A full family table
- Dinner with musicians that I have the privilege of working with and St. George’s for appreciating them
- A new nephew safely brought home from Ethiopia!
- The USA and the freedoms that she gives me
- The delight of my children running the Firecracker Run, puddles and all!
- Mr. Ron, Mr. Dey, and the other volunteers that run Boxwell Reservation’s Boy Scout Camp
- New acting friends from the Nashville Acting Studio
