Today is Inauguration Day as well as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a rare and ironic collision of the calendar. I suppose it is also an accurate metaphor for where things stand in our nation.

Much talk has been devoted to the performers at President Trump’s celebration and Nashville artists are in much of the spotlight.
I offer here, however, a different playlist based on the themes and ideals of Dr. King. It features James Taylor, Patty Griffin, Stevie Wonder, and Mavis Staples. It also includes some audio of Dr. King himself. You’ll need to go elsewhere for Kid Rock.
I pray for peace in our nation today and may we all “stick with love.”
