Today we read the story of Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness. Our speaker pointed out that the devil’s tactic was to question Jesus’ identity – “if you are the Son of God ….” Thankfully, Jesus was secure in who He was (“this is My Son, in whom I am well pleased”). This hellish tactic is also our experience and if the devil’s voice aligns with our own insecurity, how can the devil possibly be resisted? Lord, grant Your church revelation of who we are in You. Renew our minds and give us the grace to overcome. Amen. This was our set:
