Redesign of website ThatJonathanRiggs.com

The ugly side of website maintenance

After two malware attacks, several conversations, most of 2016, and countless hours chipping away, I am thrilled to relaunch this site. I’ve decided to redesign it away from a personal blog and focus it more as a marketing site for my performing arts career, specifically my acting work. Yes, I’m still singing and yes, I’m still at The Table. I have a wonderful weekly musical outlet there and I love it, but I’m always hustling for my next acting gig and I wanted to provide a site primarily for casting directors who do not yet know me. I hope this site will give them a sense of my personality, experience, and professional competency. In short, to lower their risk in taking a chance on me.

If you’re interested in the technical details, I’ll tell you that after courting Squarespace, I came back to WordPress and settled on the Avada theme. It has not been without its challenges, but so far, so good. I must give a shout-out to Verona Blue, Darrin Miller, Sean Wright, Tony Howell, Ammar from Bluehost‘s technical support, Ursula Abbott, and as always, Bonnie Gillespie for their help and inspiration.

So, here’s my new site. I hope you like it. I welcome your feedback in the comments below.
