This post is part of the Sunday Setlist blog carnival, hosted by TheWorshipCommunity.com.
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. – Apostle Paul in Colossians 3
Today at The Table, we reflected on faith and works. God’s love for us is settled and there’s nothing I can do to cause Him to love me more. Our good behavior (or the absence of destructive behavior as listed in Colossians 3) is not for God. They are not prerequisites for His love and acceptance of you and me. Rather, instructions such as this is for our personal benefit as we relate in community with others. God doesn’t need my good works, but my neighbors do. This was out set:
- Walk-in 1: Higher Ground (Gabriel / Oatman)
- Walk-In 2: As it is in Heaven (Maher / Cash)
- Walk-In 3: All Things (Wantiez / Ludlow)
- Mighty to Save (Morgan / Fielding)
- Before the Throne of God Above (Bancroft / Cook)
- Offertory: I Just Want to be with You (McClarney / Puckett / Riggs / Winn)
- Doxology: to the tune of “All Creatures of our God and King”
- Sanctus: Holy, Holy, Holy (Brian Darnell)
- Communion: The More I Seek You (Zach Neese)
- Closing: As it is in Heaven
