I had the opportunity to attend the Hymnish songwriter’s retreat back in April. I blogged about it earlier. One of the draws to the retreat was the opportunity to co-write with a professional songwriter. Co-writing is the best way to develop as a songwriter.
So, on Saturday afternoon I found myself in a room with Kelly Puckett, Jacob Wynn, and professional writer Chris McClarney (“Your Love Never Fails“). We were charged to write a song for the Church and we discussed how what we desire more than anything is the presence of God. The result is “I Just Want to Be With You.” Here’s the Chord Chart. If you use it, I’d love to hear about it. Enjoy.
