I looked no further when Jonathan Riggs auditioned

“The Eastern Valley Coach is another important character in the movie and actor Jonathan Riggs had the perfect disposition for him,” says Director Dave Christiano. “In the story, his team won the state championship the previous year and is the favorite to win it again this year. I needed a guy who had that quiet confidence because they are the favorite. I looked no further when Jonathan auditioned for the role. Dead on.”
