(Another post for the Sunday Setlist blog carnival). Today was a good day of worship leading at Christ Community, McMinnville, TN. I wanted to do something special for Thanksgiving Day weekend and thought about Natalie Merchant’s “Kind and Generous” mid-week (I tend to refer to this song as “Thank You”). I modified the lyric, mostly changing the “la la”s to “Hallelujah.” It worked great. The pastor has been requesting the Caryl Parker arrangement of “Who Is There Like You,” so I decided it was time to do that too. It was a lot to throw at the band on a holiday weekend, but we all came out unscathed. Here’s the list:
- Kind and Generous (Natalie Merchant)
- O Praise Him (David Crowder)
- A Greater Song (Paul Baloche)
- Who Is There Like You / Nothing But the Blood of Jesus (Paul Oakley)

Thanks for sharing your list. I’ll definitely have to check out a few of those songs I don’t know.
