This post is part of the Sunday Setlist blog carnival.

Today is the third Sunday of Lent. The subject of repentance often comes up during this time. Many people have the impression that repentance is about feeling bad, beating yourself up. This is not God’s desire. I’m learning that repentance is primarily about changing one’s mind. To change my way of thinking so that it lines up with His. We are led to repentance after all, by His kindness (see Romans 2). We sang this verse today at The Table. This was the rest of our set:

  • Kyrie Eleison
  • 10,000 Reasons (Myrin / Redman)
  • Kyrie Response: Lord, Have Mercy (Steve Merkel)
  • Kindness (Tomlin / Giglio / Reeves)
  • And Can It Be (Wesley / Durham)
  • Doxology (to the tune of “What Wondrous Love Is This?”)
  • Sanctus (Holy, Holy, Holy) (Peter Scholtes)
  • The More I Seek You (Zach Neese)
  • Be The Centre (Michael Frye)
  • From the Inside Out (Joel Houston)
