Read all about it!
I just finished five days in the recording studio with Nashville Audio Productions for the narration of The Keeper by New York Times Best Selling author Charles Martin!
I got to practice my Spanish and Portuguese (thank you David Durham and Valeria Hyer!) and “travel” to Colorado, Alaska, Georgia, Israel, and Spain, all while revisiting the characters of Murphy, Summer, Camp, and other characters of Freetown.
This is the fourth book in the “Murphy Shepherd” series and my 7th narration for Martin. Once again, the book is filled with adventure, romance, intrigue, and life lessons in selflessness.
Sydney Mathieu, audiobook producer for HarperCollins Publishers, joined us in the studio for the first time and directed the sessions. (The book is published by Nashville’s Thomas Nelson, and imprint of HarperCollins). What a difference it makes working with a director! It was a real treat to have someone else present who had read the book and really understood the content. Plus, Sydney is a fellow Belmont alum, which is always great to connect with. Go Bruins!
Engineer Craig Hinkle kept the mood light while also constantly policing my clicks, pops, s’s, breath, and other overbearing mouth noises (sorry, Craig!). The three of us also bonded over Mexican and Vietnamese food in South Nashville. Yum.
The Keeper releases in April 2025. In the meantime, you can see all of my audiobooks on Audible by clicking here. Thanks for listening and thank you for your support!
Over to You
Have you read or heard any of the Murphy Shepherd series? What do you think? Heard any other good audiobooks recently? I’d love some listening recommendations.
