Oddly I’ve been in a car wreck twice in the last three weeks, including once while my still-learning 16-year old was at the wheel. Thankfully, we’re OK, the damage was minor, and neither was our fault. But still… This, coupled with our finances in a perpetual state of “whacked” makes for a stressful day in and day out. Nonetheless, gratitude is a choice. Here’s my thankful list for the week:
- Health and safety after the wrecks
- Professional luncheon as a guest of a friend
- Concerned friends
- Anonymous cash gift at just the right time
- Continued improvement in my craft
- Encouraging words
- Conversations with future potential

See the skid marks? Those are mine. See how close they are to the intersection? That’s how close I was when the driver pulled out in front of me, drove off, causing me to swerve, run into the curb and blow out my tires and ding my wheel.

Glad everybody’s unharmed in those wrecks; I have my own “hard times” list, but am glad to hear and am encouraged that you are choosing to remain thankful.
Thanks, Diane. All the best to you.
