Busy week here at the Riggs house and for yours truly. At the moment, I’m preparing to co-host a Songwriter’s Cafe podcast with my friend Wisdom Moon, take my son on his first backpacking trip, and lead worship at an Anglican church for the first time. Here’s my gratitude list for the week.
- Successfully training and running the 1/2 Country Music Marathon without major injury
- Chocolate smiles and ladybug cupcakes – even if they outsell my Diamond on the 1 books by a landslide
- Opportunity with an entrepreneur friend
- Blue ribbons and a wagging tail
Have a great rest of the week!

Where do you like to go backpacking? Just curious. I’m looking forward to giving it another shot one of these days.
Hi, Peter. I like to go lots of places, but most of my trips have been in Tennessee. I know a lot of places around here. For this trip, we went to South Cumberland State Park, which is the closest place to Nashville I like to go to. South Cumberland is a widespread area. Specifically, we went to the Stone Door Ranger station to begin our hike. For more information, check out http://www.tn.gov/environment/parks/SouthCumberland/
