UPDATE: Lower Broads won the 2014 Nashville Film Festival TN Horizons Audience Award! Congratulations Drew Langer, Marin Miller, and the rest of the fabulous cast and crew.
This year marks my first appearance at the Nashville Film Festival. And I’m involved in two projects! One is the short film Lower Broads (directed by Drew Langer) and the other is the television pilot Josie (directed by Jonathan Fraser). Josie tells the story of an down-on-her-luck singer and her adventures in moving to Nashville. I play “Terry,” a struggling songwriter. The pilot premiered at the Women in Film and Television panel and celebration. Lower Broads is a comedy about two rival bachelorette parties and their showdown at a karaoke bar. I play a minor character credited as “Extremely Pregnant” guy. … Yeah, there’s not a good way to explain that one.
Lower Broads won an additional outdoor showing this Wednesday (April 23, 2014) at the Music City Walk of Fame park (121 4th Street, 37201). Other shorts will be playing too. The show starts at 8:00 PM and is free. (Rated R for excessive alcohol use, language, and crude party favors. You’ve been warned).
